CSIR NET 2022 AlR 77, Roshan Jaiswal says “It’s never too late to start”

CSIR NET results are out and it brought smiles on the faces of those who had worked hard for the exam. One such person is Mr Roshan Jaiswal who secured an All India Rank 77 in the very first attempt at age 33. It is through sheer determination and grit that Roshan has set a benchmark for the future aspirants. In an exclusive interview with Dr Gajendra Purohit, Roshan talks about his preparation journey and talks about his inspiration and provided other vital tips for future aspirants.

Dr Gajendra Purohit – Tell us about yourself

Roshan Jaiswal – I’m Roshan Jaiswal hailing basically from Varanasi. I have pursued my complete education from Varanasi itself. And since 2015, I’ve been working as a PGT Math Teacher in a district nearby; Ghazipur.

Dr Gajendra Purohit – What was your inspiration behind cracking the exam in the first attempt at the age of 33?

Roshan Jaiswal – I always had a dream of clearing CSIR NET but soon after I completed my Masters in the year 2015, I was offered a government job which made me a little comfortable and secure. Meantime, I used to watch your videos on youtube, learn and practice. One fine day, I saw an ad to subscribe for your classes on Unacademy and without even having a second thought, subscribed to it and then prepared fully- fledgedly. And finally appeared for the exam in the year 2022.

Mr Roshan adds that you should never stop learning no matter what. Just like he never stopped even after a considerate 7- year long gap, an aspirant should keep going and there will always be a way.

It was quite relevant for Roshan that the whole Universe somehow helped him achieve what he devotedly wanted to.

Dr Gajendra Purohit – What is your message to the future aspirants?

Roshan Jaiswal – It’s never too late to start, all you need to have is a clear target on your goal and go for it dedicatedly. You just need to focus on your only goal and nothing else.

Also maintain consistency because ‘ Irregularity causes damage’ and have faith in your educator/ mentor as they are there for your best. You need not have a plethora of study material, remember that less is more so make sure that you follow ‘quality studying’ and ‘quantity studying’. Make short notes as per your convenience and revise wholeheartedly. Be open to learning from your mistakes.

Dr Gajendra Purohit –  A conclusive motivation to the future aspirants?

Roshan Jaiswal – Don’t just dream, work hard for your dreams too because everything is possible. If I can crack the exam with a 7- year long gap then sure can a student who is preparing for it continuously.

Roshan surely is a quintessential of how it’s done. So if you too dream of cracking an exam and something is holding you back then stop thinking and just go for it with your whole heart, there will always be a way.
