How to read books ?

  • Sort the important topics – It could be exhausting to read the whole book right before an exam or a test, so the best way is to sort the topics that are important as per the exam point of view and start reading those first.

  • Start with bestsellers or favorite authors – Before diving into educational books right away, start by reading books from your favorite authors or international bestseller books. That way you create a habit to read books effectively and in a fun way.

  • Join a book reading group/ club – Seeing others read and discuss different books can generate a curiosity in our minds and it can motivate us to read books. Being a part of a reader group where they have different reading milestones for new readers which helps us practice reading for a longer time.

  • Try podcasts – Nowadays if you don’t feel like reading a book traditionally, you can definitely try and listen to podcasts. A much more effective and timesaving way to read books you love.

  • Set reading goals – Setting goals for your reading on an everyday basis can help you build a steady habit. For example – 10 pages per day is quite an attainable goal for a start. It can be whatever that suits your schedule and doability.

  • Designate a reading space – Sometimes it’s all about the environment. Fix a place that is specially meant to be for reading. Keep it simple and cozy or as you may like for yourself to get in that reader zone.
